Denver Broncos: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Broncos drafted Bo Nix, but if they are so bad in 2024 that they land the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they’ll almost certainly repeat what the Cardinals did when Arizona gave up on Josh Rosen after one year by drafting Kyler Murray.
Shedeur Sanders has a high football IQ and great leadership skills. He doesn’t have a stellar arm, but it’s good enough for him to be a top-five pick.

New England Patriots: Harold Perkins, OLB, LSU
Matthew Judon is still capable of placing heavy pressure on opposing quarterbacks, but he’ll turn 32 soon. New England will have to find a young pass rusher to complement Judon now and eventually replace him.
Harold Perkins is a beast who broke on to the scene with 7.5 sacks as a freshman. He’s an explosive player with tremendous instincts.
Pick change; previously Mykel Williams, DE
Carolina Panthers: Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia
Brian Burns is gone, so the Panthers will need to find a dominant pass rusher to replace him.
Mykel Williams has an incredible first step and was terrific down the stretch for Georgia as a freshman.
Pick change; previously Harold Perkins, DE
New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB, Colorado
Quarterback may seem like the obvious choice, but the Giants may have grand plans to draft Arch Manning in 2026. He’ll be the top choice for New York in my impending 2026 NFL Mock Draft. The Giants can instead obtain a shutdown cornerback to fill a huge need.
Travis Hunter has incredible athleticism and plus size. He played receiver at Colorado as well.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State
Baker Mayfield re-signed to what really is a 1-year deal with the Buccaneers. If he struggles without Dave Canales, Tampa Bay could seek to replace him next offseason.
Drew Allar has a huge arm and a large frame, and he knows how to apply touch and throwing angles.
Arizona Cardinals: Walter Nolen, DT, Texas A&M
Arizona was always expected to pass on a quarterback in the early rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, but if Kyler Murray continues to suffer injuries, the Cardinals may not have a choice, especially if they have the No. 6 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Then again, Arizona could continue to make excuses for Murray, especially if it misses out on the top two prospects. If so, perhaps the Cardinals will finally obtain a replacement for J.J. Watt.
Walter Nolen was a highly recruited player who has shown a ton of upside.
Seattle Seahawks: Nic Scourton, DE, Texas A&M
The Seahawks have lacked a great pass rush for quite some time. They can rectify that with this pick.
Nic Scourton had a breakout ’23 season with 10 sacks. He has a huge frame and possesses massive upside as a potential defensive end or five-technique.
Tennessee Titans: Carson Beck, QB, Georgia
The Titans are going to give Will Levis a chance next year. If he fails, Tennessee could target a franchise quarterback at this spot.
Carson Beck has a huge arm, plus size, and quality accuracy.
New Orleans Saints: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The Saints spent last year’s first-round pick on a tackle, but they need another one. Talies Fuaga will play at right tackle, so New Orleans has to find a blind-side protector.
Will Campbell has average length, but is a nasty blocker.
Minnesota Vikings: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
Jerry Tillery is slated to be a starting running back for the Vikings. That’s not good. Almost anyone would be an upgrade over Crooked Tillery.
Deone Walker is a massive nose tackle, but he can generate pressure on the quarterback despite his size.
Washington Redskins: James Pearce Jr., DE/OLB, Tennessee
The Redskins lost a pair of talented edge rushers during the previous trade deadline, so they’ll need to find replacements.
James Pearce put a ton of pressure on the quarterback in ’23. He has a ton of potential, but he needs to fill out his frame.
Los Angeles Chargers: Patrick Payton, DE, Florida State
Khalil Mack is just a short-term solution across from Joey Bosa, who tends to get hurt a lot. It would be a surprise if both were back in 2025.
Patrick Payton is raw and needs to add bulk, but he has immense upside.
Chicago Bears: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
The Bears could stand to keep adding to their front seven so they have a dominant defense.
Mason Graham is a relentless player with a non-stop motor.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas
The Steelers obtained Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, but there’s a chance they could both bust. If so, the Steelers will be back to square zero, as a Hall of Fame running back once said.
Quinn Ewers has a big arm, but must improve his accuracy.
Indianapolis Colts: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Colts probably would have drafted a cornerback at No. 15 had Laiatu Latu not fallen to them. They still need help at the position.
Will Johnson, who had a tremendous showing during the championship run, has a plus skill set and upside.
Las Vegas Raiders: Earnest Greene III, OT, Georgia
The Raiders considered drafting a tackle in the first round. They’ll need to improve their protection.
Earnest Greene is a massive right tackle and a powerful run blocker.
