We love using our favorite chaffle recipe to make a chaffle pizza, chaffle tacos and a a keto chaffle sandwich. It’s a crazy simple recipe that can be whipped up in less than 10 minutes too.

This popular low carb waffle recipe has taken the keto world by storm. It went viral overnight in forums and it’s not hard to see why.
The original chaffles are super fun to make – just 2 ingredients! Cheese + waffles = chaffles – plus a waffle maker. They cook up just like waffles so they’re perfect for breakfast or. Or use them for anything you would normally use sandwich bread for.
CHAFFLE SANDWICH RECIPE
To make a Chaffle Sandwich, simple make all the chaffles and use them as the sandwich bread or buns to hold the sandwich together.
You can finally enjoy make that delicious Turkey Sandwich or BLT sandwich for lunch without the carbs!
Plus, chaffles take less than 5 minutes to make and really only require two ingredients!
There are lots of different variations on chaffles. The original chaffle recipe is made with just 2 ingredients using cheese and eggs.
This chaffle sandwich recipe is super quick and easy to make and take just 5 minutes to whip up using a mini waffle maker. You can even have your kids and husband help join in on the fun!
WHAT WAFFLE MAKER DO I NEED:
The best part about making a chaffle sandwich is that you can use any waffle maker you have. These are the two we use:

We bought ours on Amazon, but you can find them at Target, Crate & Barrel and Bed Bath & Beyond.
INGREDIENTS FOR LOW CARB CHAFFLE SANDWICH:
Our keto chaffle sandwich recipe makes 4 mini chaffles in a DASH mini waffle maker
or 2 chaffles if you’re using a Belgian Waffle Maker:
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup superfine blanched almond flour: adds structure and makes them less eggy/cheesy and more bread like
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder: makes them rise and extra fluffy
- garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheese (we use a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
FOR THE SANDWICH VARIATIONS – SWITCH THINGS UP AND HAVE FUN!
- Turkey Chaffle Sandwich: layer oven roasted nitrate free sliced turkey, lettuce, tomato and cheddar or swiss cheese plus compliant mayo or Dijon mustard
- Keto Breakfast Sandwich: scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese
- BLT Chaffle Sandwich: nitrate free bacon, lettuce and tomatoes
- Chicken Salad Chaffle Sandwich: make a Chicken Salad, add lettuce or avocado
- Ham and Cheese Chaffle Sandwich: nitrate free ham, lettuce, cheddar cheese plus compliant mayo or Dijon mustard
- Tuna Salad Chaffle Sandwich: make aTuna Salad, add lettuce or avocado
Customize your toppings and make it your own by using your favorite slices of deli meat, pickles spinach and any other veggies of your choice.
HOW TO MAKE A CHAFFLE SANDWICH:
COAT WAFFLE IRON: Lightly spray your waffle maker with cooking spray or ghee and let it heat up on high.
MAKE THE BATTER: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond flour, garlic powder and baking powder.
COOK THE CHAFFLES:
IF USING A BELGIAN WAFFLE MAKER: Pour half of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary.
IF USING A DASH MINI WAFFLE MAKER: Pour 1/4 cup of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary.
SERVE HOT: Carefully transfer to a plate and add turkey, lettuce, cheese and tomato or layer on your favorites.

- 3 slices your favorite nitrate-free deli meat , turkey, ham, chicken
- 2 slices cooked bacon
- 2 slices tomatoes
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chicken salad
- 1/4 tuna salad

IF USING A BELGIAN WAFFLE MAKER: Pour half of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary.
IF USING A DASH MINI WAFFLE MAKER: Pour 1/4 cup of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary. Repeat with remaining batter
Carefully transfer to plate and add favorite sandwich fillings.
