A great tasting gluten free pasta that’s super easy to make and the kids won’t know the difference!
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 185g Rice flour
- 60g Tapioca (Arrowroot) Flour
- 5g Xantham Gum
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 medium eggs
Method
- Place dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine. Pour into the Philips Pasta & Noodle Maker. Set to one cup setting and start the machine.
- Meanwhile, crack the eggs into the liquid jug and whisk with a fork. As the machine is going, gradually add the egg mix until all incorporated. Follow the remaining steps as pasta is extruded. Cook for 5-6 minutes or to your liking.
Notes
I have played around with a few different combinations of flours and liquids, and this is the best tasting GF pasta I have come up with so far. There is a definite difference in taste to regular pasta, but the texture and consistency is no different. I used medium sized eggs for the recipe. If using large or x-large, try using just two eggs and adjust to suit.

Love that I can make gluten free pasta with my pasta maker!!! Thank you.
I’ve made this a couple of times but wanted to make this a bit more wholegrain, so decided to experiment with Buckwheat flour. It took a few tries but here are my tried and tested ingredients, so delicious!!! 80g Tapioca Flour, 100g Rice Flour, 125 g Buckwheat, 5g Xantham gum, 1/2 tsp Salt, 3 egg XL, 1/2 tsp olive oilReply

Hi, great recipe! I used white rice flour & 3 eggs that were 700g for 12 (so about 58-60g each). The dough looks like bread crumbs & you don’t think it’ll work, but larger eggs or more liquid produce sticky pasta. I did save one batch by pausing the machine, breaking up the dough & adding a couple more tablespoons of flour & then starting the program form scratch.

So, just so I’m understanding this correctly, you add 3 eggs and no water to the dry ingredients in the machine?
Thanks so much!Reply

Hi,
Thanks for your receipe.I have noticed that your receipe does not have water in it? Does your receipe goes well with spinach juice ,in making it into spinach noodles?
Love to hear from you, thanks =)
