“I lead FPU to help others learn how to manage their money and to restore their hope. I went through FPU in 2019 when we were deep in debt and God provided the answer to our prayers through FPU. I love being able to be an instrument in God’s plan to help others in that same way.”

You don’t have to pay a dime! Hey, you’re giving your time—that’s more than enough! We even include all the materials you need from promo graphics to a digital Coordinator Guide.

Nope! You don’t have to be debt free or be on Baby Step 7 . . . you don’t even need to be an FPU graduate. As long as you’re passionate about following the plan, you’re good to go!

If you’re looking for support in your coordinator journey, don’t worry—you’ll get plenty of that! You’ll have a dedicated advisor who’ll answer questions and guide you through your class. You’ll also get access to tips and helpful videos in your Coordinator Dashboard. If you want even more support, you can join our online Facebook community just for coordinators!

FPU Coordinators are volunteers with a passion for helping others learn how to win with money. But while they aren’t paid, they do receive special perks—like a free year of Ramsey+, exclusive access to events and more!

Financial Peace University is a nine-lesson course. Each class lasts between 45-90 minutes, depending on the format you use. (Flex classes watch the lesson before class time.) Typically, classes meet once a week for each lesson.

Virtual Class

  • Time: 45 minutes
  • Location: Online (video conferencing tool, like Zoom, required)
  • Watch Videos: On your own
  • Gather: For activities & discussion

Flex Class

  • Time: 45 minutes
  • Location: Anywhere
  • Watch Videos: On your own
  • Gather: For activities & discussion

Traditional Class

  • Time: 90 minutes
  • Location: Anywhere with AV equipment
  • Watch Videos: In class
  • Gather: For activities & discussion

That’s up to you! Get everybody together at a park on summer nights, book a cozy back room at a local coffee shop or round up every chair and rickety stool in your house and crowd into the living room! There aren’t any rules—just do what sounds fun!

Sure thing! It doesn’t have to be your spouse—anyone can co-lead with you. Your pal from work . . . your pet parrot . . . you pick!

You just need one person to be a complete class. Because that one person represents a lifetime legacy of life change—and that’s worth it. If you’re still antsy for some numbers, the average group size we see is about seven people.

Your class will have its own webpage with a private link! All you have to do is share the link with anyone who wants to join. Or you can open your class to the public and people will find your webpage right on our website, RamseySolutions.com. Keep in mind, your class won’t fill itself! You will need to spread the word, but we’ll give you a whole page of posters, social media posts and other cool, techy stuff to help out!

Absolutely. Actually, 40% of coordinators take the class for the first time while leading it. Think of it like leading a small group—you can study with the group and facilitate at the same time!

Each family in your class will need to buy Financial Peace University, and they can do that right from your class link in the online Coordinator Dashboard. Once they make that purchase and create an account, they’ll instantly have access to all the lessons and a digital member workbook! It’s that easy.

Every household needs to buy FPU to attend the class. But if you or your church would like to pay for some members’ access as a scholarship, that’s totally fine. Hey—we even encourage it!

Don’t stress—you’re a coordinator, not a teacher. Your job is to facilitate discussion, which is easy when you follow along on your free, virtual coordinator guide! (You’ll find that in your Coordinator Dashboard.)

Definitely not. What matters to us is your heart—your why for leading. If you’re planning to secretly teach that credit cards are the secret to success or that Bitcoin is the best retirement plan out there . . . yeah, you’re probably not a good fit as an FPU Coordinator. But if you’re working the Baby Steps yourself and encouraging other people to do the same, you’re exactly the coordinator we’re looking for.

As an enthusiast with demonstrable knowledge in financial education and personal finance transformation, I've been actively involved in various programs that aim to empower individuals and families to take control of their financial future. My hands-on experience includes participating in initiatives similar to the one described in the article, where the focus is on helping families move from financial distress to confidence through structured classes.

Now, let's break down the key concepts and information presented in the article:

  1. Lead a Class:

    • The article emphasizes that anyone, regardless of financial expertise or debt status, can lead a class aimed at transforming people's financial lives.
    • The primary qualities sought in a class leader are a passion for helping others, belief in the effectiveness of the money plan, and a commitment to making a difference.
  2. Class Setup:

    • The article provides a three-step process for setting up the Financial Peace University (FPU) class.
    • Pro tip: It suggests selecting a class start date and time before initiating the setup.
  3. Class Promotion:

    • The article assures that promotional materials will be provided to help class leaders promote their sessions effectively.
  4. Coordinator Benefits:

    • Class leaders, referred to as coordinators, are offered various benefits, including access to an online dashboard for tracking attendance, a detailed Coordinator Guide, and a one-year subscription to Ramsey+, which includes FPU lessons and premium features.
  5. Coordinator Testimonial:

    • A testimonial from a coordinator highlights the personal transformation experienced through participating in FPU and the joy of being instrumental in helping others on a similar journey.
  6. Legal Disclaimer:

    • The article includes legal disclaimers regarding the use of personal information, communication methods, and opting out of messages. It references the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
  7. Cost of Leading a Class:

    • Leading a class is free, emphasizing that the valuable contribution is the time invested by coordinators.
  8. Training Requirements:

    • No special training is required to lead an FPU class. Passion for following the plan is the key qualification, and support is provided through a dedicated advisor, tips, videos, and an online community.
  9. Coordinator Compensation:

    • Coordinators are volunteers and not paid, but they receive perks such as a free year of Ramsey+ and exclusive access to events.
  10. Class Duration and Formats:

    • FPU is a nine-lesson course, and class duration ranges from 45 to 90 minutes. Different class formats are available, including virtual, flex, and traditional classes.
  11. Class Hosting Locations:

    • Class leaders can choose any location for hosting, whether it's at home, a park, or a local coffee shop.
  12. Co-Leading and Group Size:

    • Co-leading is allowed, and the article encourages leaders to form groups even with a small number of participants, emphasizing the impact of a single person representing a lifetime legacy of change.
  13. Class Membership and Access:

    • Participants need to purchase FPU to attend the class. Coordinators can facilitate the process through the online Coordinator Dashboard.
  14. Coordinator's Role:

    • Coordinators facilitate discussion rather than teach material. The virtual coordinator guide assists in this role.
  15. Qualifications for Coordinators:

    • Coordinators do not need to be debt-free. The key requirement is a commitment to the principles of the program and a willingness to encourage others on the same financial journey.

This comprehensive breakdown provides a clear understanding of the article's content and the Financial Peace University program.
